Challenge: Create Dynamic, static & Scheduled reports for Asset
Classification and Account Aggregation. (PRT)
Account aggregation reports will replicate the reports as found in Advisor Work
Bench Tool. Asset Classification process involves identifying securities held
by Clients Customers in an enterprise database and classifying them based on
the different parameters as identified by the management. The asset
classification will be based on data received from various loads like S&P
etc., on a regular basis. Assets that remain unclassified after the matching
will be manually classified using data from the free resources available on the
Internet.
The Solution
The reporting application will be a web-based application and should display
clients holdings in various reports. All the required holdings data is present
in centralized enterprise database. The application will take Clients Social
Security number or name and display their holdings. Extensive Search
functionality is developed. The advisor(s) will be able to search for a client
using their SSN or using the name fields (First or last). The Search
functionality is tightly integrated with an enterprise security system which
will allow the advisor(s) to search for only their clients securities.
The application allows the advisor(s) to generate various reports by including
all or partial accounts of a specific client. The Advisor will have a facility
to include household accounts shared with the client by other members of the
household.
This solution is built by using the existing data available in the legacy
systems, which has the raw data of various accounts for all products owned by
the client and systems, which calculate values for some accounts.
All the architectural risks are tested ahead and iterations were planned to
incorporate risks and time needed for implementing new technologies and
development across teams. The domain and application components were designed
in such a way they are reusable and are being used in other phases of the
development and as well as by other applications
