The client generates huge amount of revenues by selling Life Insurance Products to Clients through various Carriers, Distributors, Planners, External Agents and other distribution channels.

Under Life Insurance products family, different Insurance products are being sold by them. [E.g. UL, VUL, Term etc]. The products are managed and administered through various application systems. Currently there are 12 administrative technology applications systems handling the different Life Insurance Products and there is no consolidated data where in a planner can see the entire portfolio of insurance accounts of their clients. The challenges in the project is the data mapping from the 12 admin systems and converts the data into DTCC format and create reports based on various parameters. There is a need to migrate existing client server based application to web based solution.

We have created a Web based solution which allow agents to see the Insurance Policy information which comes from the DTCC feed and edit certain information (Various business rules are applied depending on the policy type). The challenging part of the application development is consolidating 2500 planner’s data from Sybase SQL Anywhere databases and integrating the same with DTCC data feed and providing the agent to create their manual policies. The following diagram provides a bird’s eye view of the data complexity involved in the application.

The solution allows to Agents to add/modify/delete their customer’s custom Insurance Policy information, irrespective of a policy sold by their company or not. It also allows the agent to set up alerts to identify the expiration of various policies from their existing clientele list. The alerts module is the most powerful and useful for them as it gives them to generate more business.

The reporting module is very powerful and Agents can generate canned reports as well as Ad-hoc reports in no time.
